In the summer of 2018, we developed a furniture collection in collaboration with Gidon Fuehrer for Miquella Boutique pop-up shop in northwest London.

Plinths and shelves formed an interactive installation that elevated the pop-up store to an instant gallery space on the high street.

01

Concept

Inspired by the house’s jewellery design background we developed a diamond-shaped furniture collection. The rhombille tilling pattern was explored in both two and three-dimensional shapes and forms.

The collection consisted of 2D & 3D variants of shelves, display units and hat hangers.

02

Build

The design was created with cost-effective materials such as carpet tiles and painted MDF boards. This project is a great example of how simple, easy to find materials along with a bit of design can result in an impactful, eye-catching display.

The variations in the design allowed the shop to display many different types of accessories and combinations. It is designed with many different corners to allow customisation.
